Our Mission

Evangelism with a sincere objective to bring spiritual growth to all.

Our Vision

To fulfill what Jesus wanted His church to do, which is to preach the gospel to every creature.

To grow closer to Christ through Biblical teaching grounded in the Scriptures and not in tradition.

Our Church History

The Community Bible Fellowship Church began from a Bible study group at IBM. The Bible study after five years of meeting every Thursday for lunch at the Coppell YMCA came to Kevin Harris and began to encourage the formation of a church. After getting input from potential supporters, Kevin tapped Shondrick Hill as the Business Elder, Eric McNair as treasurer and Sean Lathan as the Church Trustee. In order to form a biblically based church several meetings were held to establish church structure and protocols. Pastor Harris authored the church charter, bi-laws and the general spiritual direction of the church.

Elder Hill headed up the project that got the church its nonprofit designation. He along with Deacon McNair and Trustee Lathan made sure that all legal issues were in order. With this preparation in order the church was ready to take off. The first service took place in the Irving Arts center , the first Sunday in June 2004 on a clear bright Sunday morning. The first service began with one choir member, Nicole White, her husband Willie White handling the media duties and Pastor Harris’s first sermon was on the Beatitudes.

Elder Hill came up with the church motto: “Evangelism with a sincere objective to bring spiritual growth to all.” This was a pivotal moment in the church’s history. Evangelism became the church’s number one priority and remains that way today. Over the years, many have come, some have moved on and the church continues a journey of equipping its members for evangelism. To this end, we will continue to strive to present the Gospel to every person we can. In 2009 the church celebrated 5 years. We have come a long way from 20 members and one choir member. Where the church is headed is to be determined by God.
